The Greenwich Association of Realtors Community Foundation was established in 2024 to formalize the century-long tradition of giving back to the Greenwich Community. The Foundation's mission is to strengthen the Greenwich Community through charitable giving and philanthropic efforts.
The GAR Community Foundation provides funding to projects and initiatives that address critical needs such as housing, resident and elderly services, safety initiatives, conservation and beautification efforts, education and youth development, and more.

Through collaborative efforts, the GARCF invites community organizations to apply for grants aimed at addressing critical needs such as housing, resident and elderly services, safety initiatives, conservation, beautification efforts, education and youth development, and more. In 2025, the GAR Community Foundation will award one $25,000 grant to a deserving cause.
- Eligibility Criteria:
- Organizations must be:
- Classified as a “public charity” with tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code
- Operating in, serving residents of, and fully expending funds in Greenwich or Fairfield County, Connecticut
- Grant Proposals must:
- Have a defined budget of at least $25,000
- Use the full amount of the grant within 24 months
- Have an impact on the organization, beneficiaries and/or community
- Be fully utilized within Greenwich or Fairfield County or for the full benefit of Fairfield County Residents
- Organizations must be:
- Submission Guidelines:
- Proposals should be concise and comprehensive, outlining the project objectives, activities, expected outcomes, and budget.
- Applicants must demonstrate a clear alignment with the mission and values of the Greenwich Association of Realtors Community Foundation.
- Submit a one-page proposal detailing the project description, goals, target beneficiaries, and anticipated impact.
- Include contact information, organizational background, and relevant experience in community service.
- Completed proposals should be emailed to [email protected] by September 15th
- Final Decision Process
- All applications and proposals will be reviewed by the GARCF Board of Directors.
- Applicants may be contacted for additional information as needed
