April 9, 2020 (Greenwich, CT) – The Greenwich Association of REALTORS® announces the statistics for home sales in The Town of Greenwich, CT for the month of March 2020.
There were 35 single-family residential closings reported during this period according to figures provided by The Greenwich Multiple Listing Service, Inc., the multiple listing service used by REALTORS® in the Greenwich area.
The number of single-family residential closings increased compared to March 2019 when there were 27 closings. The median sale price for a single-family home decreased to $1,300,000 from median sales price in March 2019, which was $1,500,000.
The average days on the market (DOM) for residential homes was 227 days; which was a decrease from 255 days in March 2019.
There were 13 condo/co-op residential closings reported during this time period; which was a decrease from March 2019 when there were 15 closings.
The median sale price for a condo/co-op was decreased to $550,000 from the median sales price in March 2019, which was $569,000.
The average days on the market (DOM) for condo/co-op residential homes was 128; which was a decrease from 163 days in March 2019.
Pending sales as of 4:45pm Wednesday, April 8th for Single Family homes were 41 and 16 for Condo/Co-Op.
“March 2020 had thirty-five single family residential closings; A 29% increase from March 2019 when there were twenty-seven sales. The median sale price was $1,300,000. Greenwich was the sector in town with the most closings, ending March with seventeen sales, with a median sale price of $2,325,000; A 55% increase from March 2019 when the median sale price was $1,500,000. Condo/Co-Op sales had thirteen closings in March 2020, with a median sale price of $550,000” stated John McAtee, 2020 President of the Greenwich Association of REALTORS®.
