The Greenwich Association of REALTORS®, established in 1924 and headquartered in Greenwich, CT, provides career development and support services for the elite real estate professionals who service our community.

We understand that buying or selling a home is more than just a transaction: It’s a life-changing experience. That’s why our highly seasoned real estate professionals are dedicated to providing exceptional, personalized service for all of our clients.

Not everyone can become a Realtor. The standards are high. All of our Realtors  must pass state licensing tests and be a member in good standing of the National Association of REALTORS®. But there’s more. To gain membership with the Greenwich Association of REALTORS®, they must also be sponsored by a local brokerage and complete new-member orientations which include our extensive “About Greenwich” test — ensuring they possess a deep knowledge and understanding of this unique place and our distinct communities.

GAR Realtors visit every home that comes on the market. They’re not just checking off boxes to find listings online for their clients. GAR organizes open house tours during the week exclusively for our members — so they see much more than a series of pictures. When you work with a GAR professional, you can trust he or she knows this place better than anyone else.

GAR has over 800 active members and is also the home of the Greenwich Multiple Listing Service, the premier source for real estate listing information throughout all areas of Greenwich made available online to our Realtor subscriber base.

Our Mission Statement

Our philosophy is simple: Clients come first. We pledge to be in constant communication with our clients, keeping them fully informed throughout the entire buying or selling process. We believe that if you’re not left with an amazing experience, we haven’t done our job. We don’t measure success through achievements or awards, but through the satisfaction of our clients.

Our bylaws are the rules and regulations by which the Greenwich Association of REALTORS® conducts its business, and they’re freely visible to the public. You may download a full copy of our bylaws here.
